Tight quarters but a great grafting event!
Our first event was a walkthrough of the orchard and demonstration of a graft on an existing tree. A small group but great discussion.
The second event put ten of us in my new little greenhouse. 16 trees were grafted onto various rootstock! Tight quarters but a really good time and lots of great questions and discussion.
There are several spaces available for the March 30 grafting event. Go to the forms section of the main menu and look for registration form. It can also be reached via the previous post on this site.
A look at some of the potted rootstock is shown here, 90 originally.
There are dwarf Bud9, semi-dwarf G969 and G214, and semi-standard MM111. Lots of rootstocks to choose from
You will have a great time! Come join us.
We had so much fun! Regina is very knowledgeable and led a great class. I signed up a group of 5 to attend and it worked out great. We’re all excited to see our apple trees grow! Thanks again for sharing your expertise!
I’m delighted that you had a good time! Grafting is so much fun and I love sharing it with others. I can’t wait to hear about your trees as they grow.
My husband and I had a great time learning how to graft! Regina is so knowledgeable and helpful, and a very positive teacher. We learned a lot about grafting, local issues with apple trees, and how to best set our little trees up for success. We left inspired to do more. Thank you!
I really enjoyed grafting with you and your husband! It is so much fun for me to share my love of grafting with others. I hope we can do this again next year for your next set of trees.
